I last played the GoT mod before the addition of Essos and while I can't quite put my finger on it the whole experience feels.. different. Less immersive somehow. Westeros seems really small whereas it felt big before. Is it just me?

Yeah but did it physically get smaller to fit essos, or is it just a psychological effect?
It is the psychological effect. The provinces are thee same I think.
