I guess your router uses something called Network Address Translation (or NAT, for short). If it is, you are more or less out of luck.

What NAT does, is translating your internal IP numbers to a single, shared external one. The outside world can only see, and communicate with the external, public visible IP number. In short, they are communicating with your router itself.

Most routers do offer a way around this. You can configure then to automatically forward external IP traffic to one of your internal IP numbers. If this is possible with your router, you could create a setup with which you can use one of your PC's to play EU (or any other multiplayer game for that matter) together with the outside world.

Depending on the multiplayer communication inside EU itself, it should also be possible to use your other PC to play, as long as your externally visible PC is the host for the multi player game.

Here is what you need to do:

1. Assign your main gaming PC a static IP address (ie 192.168.0.10).

2. Log into your router and set that IP address as the "DMZ host".

On my router this can be set from http://192.168.0.1/misc.htm .
Make sure to use the same IP that you set your PC to in step 1.
WARNING: This will leave your PC completely open to the 'net, it
is not firewalled at all any more! You might want to disable the
DMZ function when you are done playing.

3. You can now host internet games. Make sure to advertise your
firewalls IP to the other players, this can be found from the
router info page or http://www.whatismyipaddress.com/

I'm sure how this will work if you want other machines behind your
firewall to connect. I would suggest using the DMZ PC as the host,
and connect to it with your 2nd PC, trying the private IP addy
first. If that doesnt work, try the firewall addy.
