I cannot find my save files

Yes, I have looked at the spot they are supposed to be for steam, the problem is, the only save files i can find there are *old* ones from three years ago, my newer saves from my new campaign cannot be found anywhere there


I'm absolutely stumped, i dont understand, where can i find the save files if all i can find are the oldest ones i have? I can still load into my newer campaign just fine so the newer one has to have files that exist somewhere, right?

Sounds like you have Cloud Saves enabled maybe?

i do, i tried turning them off, but the problem persisted, do i just need to play for a bit with the cloud saves off?

I'm not certain, but perhaps if you save the game with the cloud save disabled, then it will generate a local save file.

Steam save games should be written to here:
WIN: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\USER_ID\637090\remote\C#\SGS#\
and then be visible here:

Sign In

store.steampowered.com

Local saves should be here:
C:\Users\USER_ID\AppData\LocalLow\Harebrained Schemes\BattleTech\C#\SGS#\
To see the AppData folder you'll need to enable View Hidden Items in File Explorer.

Are the missing save files in any of those places?
