I can't play the game more than once. Then it crashes while loading.

I have armaggedon version 1.2 of the game. Once I install I can play it once no problem at all. If I quit the game and then try to play again (quit game entirely, not surrender) then when I try to load a game, the screen goes black and the game crashes. This happens everytime; whether it's in multi-player or single player, or even the tutorials. I tried installing the patches one at a time, and same problem. If I play 1.0 Arm, then it works fine. The problem is after I installed 1.2. I installed the patch at least once from the downloader, and at least once from the forum. Same problem.

I'm at a loss at what to do. I am running this on an intel mac, but since I'm using Windows XP, that shouldn't be a problem at all. I can play all other PC games fine. And like I said, the game works fine in 1.0

Any ideas, please?!?! I really preffer to not have to re-install the game everytime I want to play :-(

Rename the folder "AVI" to "AVIOLD" and see if that helps.
It might, if the game crash black screen is happening before you ever get to the load scenario screen. Another possibility could be a software firewall setting, if you are using a FW; try disabling the FW.
