I can't subjugate, pls help :c

I started as the count of angermanland in the charlemagne start.
I have am now a king, with all northern scandinavia and a bit of the baltic under my control.

Sadly I accidentally got into a situation where I have two kingdoms so have to reform the religion asap or get the worst gavelfuck in my history playing this game.

This brings me onto my problem.
I do not have an option to subjugate the kingdoms of Norway or Sweden (the latter of which is currently trying to subjugate Denmark, taunting me).
I border both these kingdoms and have not started a subjugation war on this character.

Idk if this mod makes any changes to the subjugation cb... if so then what?

Pls help before gavelkind happens.

On a side-note, why on earth does it cost 400 gold to fabricate a county claim xD

Norway has just declared a subjugation on me. I'm being prevented from subjugating by something silly...

You only get subjugation CB once in a lifetime.

Unless you're not a king, and have "become a king" ambition, then you have subjugation CB untill you become king.

Like I said in the first post, this character has not launched a subjugation war in his lifetime.

did norway launch subjugate on kingdom or part of your kingdom, something de jure in norway?

You can only use the pagan subjugation CB against a target that has titles inside your capital's de jure kingdom.

So if the king of Norway is launching a subjugation against you, it's because you have a title in your realm that is de jure Norway. If you, meanwhile, own all of your capital's de jure kingdom (Sweden?), then you won't have access to the cb any longer.

I'm using a custom kingdom since it wouldn't allow me to create the de jure Kingdom of Sápmi as Norse.
Turns out that at some point the counties in the duchy of Nordland stopped being de jure Sápmi and became de jure Norway, presumably due to some decision or scripted event. Anyway that makes more sense now. Still kinda sucks that I have no way of expanding without saving up 400 gold just to fabricate a single county claim (which takes ages at the moment, even with raiding)

That's the situation (I am Lappmarken). I can easily overpower Norway or Sweden, if only I could get a CB >.<

Sapmi pretty much only exists because we can't have no kingdom be there. With too much de Jure land, Sweden literally never formed under the AI. They, not just AI, would get that land "claimed" as part of the formation of their title if Sapmi hasn't been formed by a local ugro-finnic culture.

Thanks for clearing that up anyway.

I think i'm just gonna have to spend my time slowly conquering finnic tribes until I manage to find someone with a claim on Norway/Sweden (or at least parts of them)
