The IGC 2.1 is compatible with patch 1.09?

I have seen that the patch 1.09 rewrites "text.csv" and "province.csv": this modify is essential to game? and, if yes, it's inserted in the corresponding IGC 2.1 files?

Intall patch 1.09, install IGC 2.1, run patch.exe and you are set. It doesn't matter what you've already got installed (IGC 2.0k or whatever.)

1.09 text.csv has additional tags that are needed for the game to run.

Hmm, I haven't checked, but I don't think that should matter to the IGC either. (The IGC does not produce a new text.csv; it merely changes the text for some tags.)

Actually it's probably the american distributor that "hates americans" ... =)

Anyway, if your refering to late comming patches, that is outside of Paradox's controll (and in the hands of the respective distributors copyprotection scheme/company)

I know that's a common question, but can somebody tell me
if i can continue my saved game if i install

EU 1.09
IGC 2.1
or both?

thanks

I've been able to do so with earlier patches to EU and IGC. Keep your saved game just in case. You can always reinstall the earlier versions. or you can install the new patches in a separate EU directory if you have the room

Wow, this answers one of my questions. I had hacked up my text.csv, so to fix it I reinstalled the downloadable text.csv Paradox distributed a while back. I kept getting missions like "No France in STRING_WANTED". I was about to email Doomdark and ask if the IGC had gone nuts.
