Anyone else had problems with the Byzantium fantasy option on the IGC? Firstly, I had to manually move the monarch and leader files to the DB subdirectory just to get it to even enable the option on the IGCConfig. Then, when I go to try and actually play the bloody thing, it shows up as Greece and not even Byzantium. What could be causing this? Are there other files I need to tweak?

No, in fact when it repeatedly happened I -completely- erased my entire Europa Universalis folder and reinstalled the program to ensure a fresh directory.

Hmmm...No problems here-except the lunatic Turkish AI moving its armies to my frontier just before it declares war on the Mamelukes! Sigh......so much for a smash and grab.

Strange thing is it does it every time-moves a thirty thousand man army to Europe two months before attacking the Mamelukes. If I didn't know the AI better I'd swear it was learning to take precautions!:D

I played bysantinum and it was brilliant.. you start with one province but you also have a 30k army (after building troops) the best leader in europe (Constantine Paleologus 6.3.3.2) and angora is not far away. I just hit the turks four months after the dow on the mameluks and took smyrna and anatolia. In 1792 I owned everything down to natal (trading posts south of ogaden). West to senegal and 10 colonial cities in the american south and midwest. Ukraine in the north, all european CBs including rome, naples and sicily and I owned all of india except for a few european trading posts and colonies of countries allied to austria which happened to own the rest of europe and had good leaders like daun and sachse against my mediocre leaders. It was sweet when large provinces like syria and cairo converted to orthodox.

Brilliant!!
