Vandelay,
I have yet to see denmark diplo-annex SWE in the early game 1492-1530s. In the few that I let go longer, best i have seen is mil-alliance but usually that does not happen at all. What really bothered me (playing the teutonic knights) was how many times DAN,SWE and Russia were fighting together on the same side. Usually on someone near the black sea, sometimes me
The DAN-SWE kalmar union did go until 1521 like you say, but the dan-swe-rus things just bugs the crap out of me. So I have been experimenting with various things. latest is that SWE breaks from DAN in 1497. The easist solution is probably just lower the DAN-RUS diplo numbers 40-80pts. In two games tonight, no wars between SWE and DAN
last one, SWE and DEN ended up in mil-alliance by 1502. The huge dynamic in the game is who allies with whom. That has big diplo shifts as your allies pull you into wars you have no businues fighting.
Also tonight, have played with the historic events in order to learn more about how to make the DAN-SWE relationship slightly more complex. there are events to raise and lower diplomatic views so that is a good place to start. Next is messing around with some rebellion settings. In general, it would just be nice to have a better feel then it does with standard IGC. It would be nice to find an uprising event. the 1517 uprising (forgot the details) would be nice to get in there, along with some anti-DAN diplo events. First real step is understand what the EU engine can do.
