Hey folks, this is probably my first post on the forums, I'm usually a lurker and I get mods and usually just tinker with them myself.
Anyway, I've been searching for a decent Immortality mod, with decent traits and etc, and I stumbled upon this one over here:
Thread of the Original Mod
The mod unfortunately wasn't compatible with the latest version of The GoT mod, and after contacting the creator, he told me that he stopped working on it. So, after asking for permission and some help from him, I changed some small things within the files to make it compatible. I did not mess around too much in the files because I'm not good at modding myself. So Bugs may occur, and unfinished stuff will still be there. I'm gonna try and find whatever is still incomplete, but for now I'm just sharing this so people with a need for Immortality get their needs sated.
So without further ado, I present to you:
I hope you guys like the mod, I'm not good with modding but I try to make them work.[/COLOR]
Step 1 - Download the mod from this link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/hs3o36vq5t2tz8t/Immortality Revised.rar?dl=0
Step 2 - Extract the files into any folder of your choosing
Step 3 - Navigate to ...\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\mod\A Game of Thrones
Step 4 - Drag all the files you extracted into the folder above, and overwrite everything
Step 5 - Enjoy!
F.A.Q.
I just died! What the hell?!?!
Yes, it's still not fully working. Events that are exclusive to the Game of Thrones mod (Faceless Men, Dragon fights, PROBABLY trials-by-combat) can still kill you. The reason is I haven't changed those arguments in the files, yet. They will be changed with time
Why are Immortals Infertile?
The big reason is all the sons and daughters you may have while you're Immortal. The creator of the version before said that he received several complaints about children, that you would eventually get so many kids they would take up the whole screen in several different screens. This would also lead to a bunch of spam later on, with many windows popping up about unlanded sons, happy sons, angry sons, dead sons, zombie sons, etc.
I thought about a solution, and to be honest, I believe that Immortal people shouldn't be able to procreate, like the vampires from Twilight.
But now you'd say "But since we can't have heirs, the moment we become mortal again the game ends!!". Well, yes, but if you plan ahead, you can have kids before becoming Immortal, thus solving the inheritance part. Also, the Demi-God option does NOT make you infertile, so if you actually made yourself Immortal before tumbling with girls, you have some sort of an escape route.
What did you change on the base files I had to overwrite?
I actually changed Nothing. I simply had to fuse the files from the mod with the ones from GoT. Simply put, I added lines on the files you had to overwrite, and I didn't delete anything
What are these Immortality Options I see? I can give Immortality to other people?
Technically, yes, you can. This is a feature the last creator was working on, and it's something that I'm currently fiddling with (I'm only good at making traits, events and decisions are something else). All the options you see should work, but right now you can only give Standard Immortality to whoever's affected. I'm working on options to be able to give Enhanced Immortality to others, and maybe Heroic one, although I'm a bit hesitant on this last one.
What if a bug happens and your mod is responsible for it?
If that's so, I apologize. I've been playing on my own with the mod on my game, for around 150 years, and I still have to find a bug.
I'm pretty sure that bugs are most prone to appear with the Heroic Immortality activated, because of the several stat boosts.

- Description
- Standard Immortality - You become immune to the effects of age, but you can still die by sword, poison or disease. A side effect of this state is becoming Infertile. (explained below)
- Enhanced Immortality - You become immune to aging, and you cannot die by any means. A side effect of this state is becoming Infertile.
- Heroic Immortality - You become a Demi God to walk unto Earth, smiting all who oppose you. Aside from not being able to die by any means, your godly aura gives you supreme powers, and your battle prowess has become unique in the world. There are NO side effects to this state.
