COT wise I was wondering, how about taking out the French COT from the start ? It's puny really then anyway and it'd weaken France a bit. Make it the same as England and Holland. From the moment they get a decent colonial empire going make it pop up (Paris has a historical COT modfier of 4). Now this is an area where I'm not too xure about, either new COTs are trigger efected or quite hardcoded. If they're trigger effected however, judging by the fact that Anglia and Holland get one once they start colonising, then Paris should also get one once the French start colonising. Ever noticed how every colonial power in Europe has its own COT even if it hasn't much value in Europe itself ?

Another good suggestion Bib! Da*n you are good!

This also gives France an incentive to move into the low countries during King Louis 14ths time. I have never seen France move into that area. It is always Baden and Italy that get the French 'smack'.

I think French expansion into Italy is realistic. The French invaded in 1494,a nd they were there until the 1530s.

I aim to please ;) I just hope it's possible.

France often moves into the Netherlands in my games. Which is realistic. France being very active in Italy is also very realistic. And they're also active at times in the HRE which is also very realistic. France also got involved in the colonies. France was quite a bit expansionist minded :D

The battles in Italy between the French and Spain should come more to the foreground in EU.

Alas, the ones that pop up in Europe are hardcoded and there is no way to add new ones like Holland and Anglia without hacking the actual game code.

Hartmann,

Any luck adding random leader names? I still don't think it is possible; at least not for the majority of tags. I believe this hardhack was introduced so that nations of the same language group would share random leader names. So, for example, the German states all get the same random German leader names.

IMHO the best way to weaken france is:

- transform one reformesd french province into protestant/ France will have to deal with 3 religions, increasing revolts. Historically, french protestant start was slow and protestantism before Clavin never concentrated in a province, but religious troubles were real ( 'affaire des placards' under francois I, repression). Bearn could be a good choice ( Marguerite of navarra coverted to protestantism)

- add from henri II to Henri III monarch events increasing revolts risks to simulate religion wars...Working on that :)

For France:

- adding revolt monarch event for Henri II, medicis, Charles IX and Henri III reigns, for simulation of the long religious wars.

WHy such mod? simply because protestantism was in France a hot political problem, king power being justified by his divine origine. So protestants were by nature a danger for royal authority; and a protestant king would have been seen as not legitimate by nature by Catholics. so the probability of French religion war is high. So it must be in EU.

The same could be made for England: so the Royalist tag could be freed...

-for brandeburg-prussia: adding some monarch events enhancing relations between both in order to ease vassalization and diplomatic annexation.

There are no stupid questions just smart ass answers! ;)

Did you read the readme and follow the instructions?

Are SURE you unpacked the folders in the zip-file in your game folder not to somewhere else??

Are there in your Europa Universalisscenarios directory The Improved GC I.eug and The Improved GC II.eug files??
If not then you got to unzip again your Europa Universalis folder/directory.

Please specify more clearly what is 'nothing happens'. What do you expect to happend?

So, since the patch 1.08 is out, when is the IGC 1.6 is due to appear? :D
