Install latest Milestones error

Hi guys,

Just installed the beta 2 patch and now I get a window pop up when I initiate the desk top icon.

The window reads "please install latest milestones" with the title of the window being 'HOI beta 2 patch'. When I press okay an error occurs with the usual follow-up 'do you want to report' message.

Im thinking that I have HOI2 Arma installed on a partitioned drive (F:)
F:\programfiles\paradox\doomsday

Any ideas?
 
This error is generally caused by extracting the patch files to the wrong folder(s). When you try and run the new HOI2.EXE it can't find all the game files it needs and gives the milestone error.

Ensure when you extract the files from the patch that they overwrite the old files - if they don't overwrite, the patch won't work.
 
Oh dear

Now this has turned bad.

I uninstalled and then re-downloaded from Gamersgate a fresh version of AA. I try to start the game and get the same ''please install new milestone''. This is on a UNPATCHED install straight from gamersgate???

When I installed the beta 2 patch i made sure to install into the right pathway and saw it overwrite the files.

HELP!!!

"Please install the latest milestone" message.

This type of messages appear in case you are installing an expansion or an add-on, not having the required original\previous expansion installed, or you are installing in a different folder. This is most common for adding Hearts of Iron Armageddon to Doomsday expansions and it means that you have installed Armageddon in the wrong folder or not installed at all. The correct install path AFTER Armageddon is installed is, by default, C:\Program Files\Paradox Interactive\Doomsday.

ADVICE: Do read the game details on games page to know what is required for a particular game/expansion to be installed.
