Installing 1.06 problem

It simply says that the game is not found.... but I play 1.05 all the time! Any clue on why 1.06 won't work? I've restarted comp n' all...

Edit : All the things on the sticky check out too, except re-installing. Maybe I'll try that.
 
Bah, this is impossible. My friend has the Eu2 CD. Is there anything else that could've happened that I could check while I wait for my cd to get back. (I hear after I apply the patch, I don't need a CD to play anymore)
 
Any chance you've moved the location for EU2 since installing it? If the location of most recent install in the registry is different thatn the current location then the patch won't be able to find it. Your best bet will be to wait for your CD to be returned and then do a fresh install. Sorry.
 
I got it fixed in a time consuming way.

I had installed EU2 twice (since when I was installing it I forgot to restart my computer and I didn't know why the game wouldn't start.) However, having restarted, I only used the file of the regular Eu2 pathway, and I uninstalled the other one. (In a different pathway.) But, since the other one had been installed 3 days after the regular one, I had to re-create the folders and then copy each of my EU2 files into the new, restored pathway. quite a pain.
 
Yep, that would do it. Glad you're up and running though. :)
