Are you able to play as the Iron Bank?
I am not entirely sure what you would do as the iron bank.. i mean sure you can lend out money, but other than that the iron bank doesnt do anything, other than making sure that they get their money back from the people that borrow from them.

Edit: I am sorry i just noticed i didnt answer your question. No you cant play as the iron bank but you can play as Bravoos where the bank is located.

No, the bank isn't playable as it isn't a title ruled by any one person really. It is not even really holding more just building to be real, it has no feudal ruler nor even a set or patricians like a merchant republic so there is no playability to it.

hmm is the bank more powerful or the governing body of Braavos? Like why doesn't the king try to control the bank? How is a bank able to have so much control without doing anything?
I dont think they have so much power per se, but more in the sheer amount of money they have, which could hire pretty much any and all the mercenaries in that world. The bank was made by some of the richest and most influencial families in Braavos, and since Braavos is a republic its a good bet that the ruler is also one, and is therefor hard to do anything against without upsetting those families.

Edit: of course this is just me guessing from the kinda limited info we actually have about the bank.
