So, I started from the War of the Ninepenny Kings because I had this "dream" of maintaining Aerys' and Tywin's friendship.
Well, very shortly after game start, I get a "there's a rumor that Aerys and Joanna Lannister are bumping uglies"-event. Joanna is like...12 or 13.
I decide to go with the "confront her about it"-option after having someone investigate and come up with nothing, thinking that of course she'll deny it and I can go on happily as if it never happened.

....and then she confesses.
Well, Tywin Lannister being Tywin Lannister, I of course had to imprison and exile her (not kill - because she's a Lannister, after all!). Aerys, though?

....I had picked the "war"-focus, allowing me to duel him. And then it just was a matter of clicking the "LOL, no"-option when Aerys yielded.
Sure, it got me the dishonorable-traint....but hey...I'm Tywin Lannister...I shit gold :p

So the attempt to maintain their relationship ended in a failure as epic as in the books! :D ...though far less bloody for the rest of the realm....good guy Tywin? :p

Nice topic line. Very apt. AGOT does many weird and wonderful things. Annoying, too.

There oughta be a "shit gold" trait. Extra diplomacy and opinion and gold????

"I really shit gold" trait, reserved for lannisters (based on something like the targeryan flip coin event)
+3 diplomacy
+3.00 tax
and +1 martial, because if a man really shits gold he is one tough motherfucker.

It's a well kept family secret that all Lannisters have died on the toilet, not just Tywin.
