I have destroyed one so far and would like to find out before I destroy another one.

Would be a nice feature to have thou. Maybe not for all buildings, but especially Stirling Generators are small enough to be portable. Maybe as a mid-game tech?

It seems like having the ability to break things down to their component parts and reassemble them somewhere else would be a critical part of survival on a new world.

This would be a nice feature if you started with a Prefab unit you should be able to move it to a new location. Maybe go to IKEA for some replacement hardware?

What is nice is that you get back even half of the stuff you put into upgrading them.
Uh, have you ever tried to disassemble IKEA furniture after you put it together? Like for a move? It does not work. It's a one-time prefab. After you take it apart again, it's just rubbish.
