Basically want to replace Kingdom of Zirid and create a new playable kingdom... Anyone got the knowhow to do this? The whole wiki being down thing means I can't take a hack at it myself, like I normally would.

Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi. You're my only hope! :D

Can you be a little more specific? Do you want to:

1) Change the name that the King of Zirid title displays as?
2) Create a new creatable Kingdom of Carthage in the area (right now, I believe that area is in the Kingdom of Africa)?
3) Edit any or all of the characters?
4) Other?

Youcould probably just rename Kingdom of Africa. This Kingdom covers modern day Tunisia, Eastern Algeria and Libya.

1, replace Africa with Carthage, 3 and 4 - make playable. :D I can hand over msn if you want/need/prefer it to PM spam for technica.

You're still rather vague.

For "replace Africa with Carthage" you just need to edit worldnames.csv for the TUNI entry.

For "make playable" from a save you need to have TUNI in the top list of selectable countries (just duplicate one of the DNA matches, IIRC).

1. Carthage as an entity - new coat of arms, for the kingdom and soforth.
2. Remove or replace the Kingdom of Africa title depending on ease, and how much it'll mess up the game
3. Reset area cultures around Tunis (ideally to frankish or german)
4. Edit Characters to different names etcetera.

If I can figure this out by the way, the world should watch out, I may attempt an 'Ash' mod. <.<

Easiest for 1-2 is to edit the TUNI bitmap file (somewhere down in gfx) and the name of "Africa" to "Carthage" in worldnames.csv.

3 is also easy, just edit the cultures in the 1066 scenario province include file or a save.

4, edit the cultures in the characters from 1066 scenario province include file or a save.
