So I've been thinking of this for a day or two, and maybe Blackninja and the rest of the devs for this mod might have thought about it too, but what's going to happen to the King's Guard in the mod version that's coming up? Traditionally the King's Guard have served as commanders for the armies of the Iron Throne while also accompanying the King while he commanded armies. The implementation of the new commander system may screw this up a little. Before, the king could have appointed anyone as commanders for the Iron Throne's armies, but if my memory remembers, the realm size of the Iron Throne's vassals won't be large enough to support the needed seven slots for the King's Guards when the realm splits during a mega-war. Is there's going to be a mechanic put in place that automatically makes the seven King's Guards commanders while keeping the default places available for commanders Like Dragonstone or Rosby?

Reactions:
Why would all seven Kingsguard automatically be made commanders?

Because they traditionally lead the armies of the Iron Thrones and accompany the royal family members who do lead them. Makes no sense have an elite bodyguard that can't fight with the monarchy in battle. Just a thought I had. The commander system seems to misplace what the King's Guard do traditionally.

The Kignsguard guarded the King or their assigned ward in battles and duels, this is already done still for the battlefield duels so leading armies will still be good.
