hello,
I tried to play an internet game with my friend (internet connection - IP number). First we tried "Fantasia" scenario or whatever it is called in English and it worked fine (except that it was boring
). Then we started the Great Campaign and Age of discovery and it turned out to be unplayable due to lag - it would takie 6 to 12 months to execute an order
. Of course the host played OK, bot the one who was connecting - had enormous lags. We tried to set up a game on any of our two computers but it was all the same. How can we deal with it? We used to play a lot of games like Cossacs etc but there never was anything like it.
We played (or tried to) at speed of 1 minute=1year and 1 minute=8months.
Our machines are:
1. Pentium 3000, 256 kbps
2. Pentium M 1500, 128 kbps
I believe we both have the same version of EU2 (unmodified from CD installation - 1.01)
regards
