Launched Steam, then upon launching Stellaris it installed a new launcher. Launched the new launcher to launch Stellaris and logged in on my Paradox Account.

I can actually see all my DLC and the mods I used (thankfully there aren't many). But the launcher itself keeps reporting errors trying to update itself and suggesting to contact support. So here's me contacting support about a launcher.

I can launch Stellaris from the launcher and start a game.

Verified the game through Steam's file verification and everything was reported to be fine.

First check that your computer's time is correctly set from the internet, seen a few cases like that causing the launcher install or update to fail.

Also seen some reports that running Steam as the Admin user can help ... !

Thank you for the suggestions. Had Windows 10 resync time, it was off by 4.6 seconds, but that didn't make any difference.
Closed both the launcher and Steam and restarted Steam as administrator, that didn't make any difference.

Went into the \Steam\steamapps\common\Stellaris\ folder and started the launcher-installer-windows.msi and selected the remove option. Upon restarting Stellaris through Steam I was asked by the launcher to restart the launcher to update to version V2. This resolved the issue, no more suggestions of contacting support.

This worked for me too.

I had the same issue the last few days. Now the launcher is running properly.

Thank you for this.
My spent days trying to reload and restart my whole steam until I saw this post.
Time was off by 4 minutes.
Changed it back and everything worked again.

I also recently encountered a similar issue. Checked my AV and firewall and it seemed that everything was allowed but kept getting issues. Found that I had to completely disable firewall and av on my machine and was then able to reconnect to internet through the Paradox Launcher. Once reconnected I could run the update which restart the launcher.

Once the launcher was updated I turned back on my Firewall and AV and everything worked as it was supposed to.
