Leaving the game = Freeze

When i leave the game, its freeze and its forced to stop , anyone else got this?

not responding, its hang

It seems to happen a couple more times, but please try the following:

• Please try and right-click on the game in your library, go into Properties and uncheck the box "Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game". This has been reported to solve this issue.

Then try verifying the integrity of your game cache.

How to verify the cache:

• Load Steam
• From the Library section, right-click on the game and select Properties from the menu.
• Select the Local files tab and click the Verify integrity of game cache... button.
• Steam will verify the game's files - this process may take several minutes.
• Once the process is completed, the Check Window will automatically exit.

• Also restart Steam after you've done this and start the game again

Sadly this did not help here :-/

hmmm and now it also do it when i return to main menu, or try..... its stop responding. i try reinstall.


The quit to main menu worked after, new install, but its still hang, or not respond, when exit to desktop

I've noticed a short lag in exiting that I found odd, but no long-term freeze.

What is your computer specs?

I am,too, having the same problem.

The game save ps with out a problem to steam cloud but when I try do exit to the desktop it just hangs. Wait more then 5m and nothing. Tried to reinstall and the same result.

Btw can't login inside the game with my paradox account.

Maybe not freeze, but just hang


Its win 7, 64bit, all up to date
8gb ram
i5-3570 3,4ghz
nvidia gtx770 dx11 all up to date

Yeah same here. Hangs on exit. Tried the menu overlay and no go.

Well, can’t say what happen but now i did manager do login and it doesn’t freezes no more.
Didn’t do anything. Turn off the pc yesterday and turn on today and the problem is gone :huh:
Don’t know what to think about it.
Savers full? Problems with the connection with Paradox servers?
The left panel now is showing news and before was showing the text TEST.
