Hello everyone!

Me and my friend often play HOI2 in LAN, usually in some form of alliance. We quit and save, but almost everytime when we load a saved game some of his research has dissapered and he has to research it again. Sometimes he also can recieve blueprints for already completed research.

My computer is always the "server" and I have never had any lost research, and it never occurs in single player mode.

This is very frustrating, does anyone have a sollution for this problem?

Most likely you are experiencing a bit of what is known as lag. Meaning that what is perceived by your friend's PC as completed research, is not yet flagged on your hosting PC as completed.

And since it's your host PC which soley determines what goes into a save game file, that means that anything that has not yet been registered by the host gets lost upon reload.

Now, what you can do about it, is this: Make sure your friend lets (when a team completes a project) his tech team idle for upto 48 hours. That will give your host PC time to catch up. When he reassigns a project before your host also registers it as completed, it will in fact be equivalent to when he hits the "cancel" button on an ongoing research projects. Meaning it will be aborted.

By the way. What game/patch version are you using?
