Hi guys,

The issue is that full screen is always ok, but when I switch to windowed mode, no matter the resolution (tried them all), the lower part of the screen will always be unselectable (those buttoms changing mapmode and alike). In fact, another small part of the game goes under the screen (even on a laptop, so it's not monitor either).

Moving windows bar to the right seems not to change the issue either.

Been playing AoD for ages. First had the physical AoD on some old computer, modern day I use steam, and with every different computer or operating system (win 2000, XP, win 7, win10), I have the same problem.

No old thread on resolution (hoi2 or aod) has an explanation (checked them all). Also, found no one with the exact same problem, but for some reason it repeats itself to me :S, so I begin to think it is something in my configuration which I do and most people won't.

After many tests, I gave up on solving it, so it is my last shot, asking here as maybe somebody has any idea or it happened to him previously...?

Mmh, to clarify: do you have a resolution with more than 768 px of height?

On 768 px this is a limitation of how the window alignment has been implemented. I have only yet begun to discover all the pieces, so a quick fix is not in sight, but eventually, I hope to make windowed mode borderless.

On higher... heights... I had been so far unable to test, but as far as I can see it should display the mapmode buttons et at., and then they should be clickable as well.

Hi Zsar and thanks for your answer;

On my laptop I use classical 1024x768. I did try using smaller and bigger resolutions, with the only results of large parts of the screen in black or inmense aod screens where only a small corner was shown in my laptop.

I also tested, with a bigger monitor on the other computer the same, and even with the big resolutions the lower area had display issues.

I recall I once used one of those 'eliminate the border for X computer game on windowed mode' small programs. That would allow the game to display the whole area but still was unclickable.

It would be great if you could further elaborate on these display issues and mayhap provide a screenshot.

Yes, well, the game does not really have buttons and such. Just shiny graphics and areas on the screen, which it monitors for input - so, when moving the "buttons" upwards by eliminating the border, the area which reacts to mouse clicks will not move with the displayed button.

EDIT: The bigger monitor is not available atm untl i reinstall 1.09 as it has win-xp, showing some reduced screenshots of the laptop.

1024x768, moved windows bar to the side so it can be more clearly seen.
