Will more time be spent on the manual then paradox usual do?
And will you get a colorful map over CK region if you buy the game?
I guess there want be a demo, right?

As far as the manual, with HOI I am pretty sure it was out sourced to a 3rd party. Remember CK isnt strictly a Paradox game, Snowball is doing most of it so maybe they will be doing the manual as well.

Certainly a legit concern one I wondered about, just to early. Your other questions who knows, more then likely the same packaging for the game will be used as in other releases. Maps, Tutorials....

Any manual will probably be hopelessly out of date by the time of release, let alone after patches. Of course, Snowball may have a beeter record with regard to manuals than Paradox.

Whether or not there will be a map in the box, depends on the particular distributor. I would say this will become relevant about 1 month before release :).

Re: manual for the game, no arrangements have been made so far, thus the field is pretty much open.

Well, you push the distributors to provide us with a map and we will be forever grateful (or at least i will be). I still use my EU2 map occasionally - probably more than I play the game! You just need to have a map for planning your campaigns and strategies. :)

Agreed ! If possible lets get terrain icons on there, a little moutain, a little marsh, invaluable in MP when your planning joint invasions. (yes I have been bogged down in the russian/polish marshes in HOI, and all my shiny Tigers were destroyed by russian swine)

I don't even care if the terrain is on the map but I do need the names of the provinces since I am one of those Americans who is ignorant of european geography.:D

Personally, I don't feel the need for a manual. If I am in trouble, I shall ask the proper authorities from this forum...:D
Because I have the UK edition of EU2, I didn't get a map, and guess what? I don't need one, and that goes double for CK
:D

If you do a manual please please please do not put a grayscale image as background to the text on every page. That sucks so much.

Maybe they can also have in the box those 3-D glasses so you can read the manual with all that crap in the background.:D

Maybe one of those pictures in the sunday paper you have to stare at for 5 minutes?

Seriously though, for me I personally wouldnt mind the manual in a PDF file to be downloaded and sections upgraded with patches and corrections via input from the boards. I read the manual when I first get a game, then I run the tutorials, once I am finished there I just go, however I refer back to the manual in situations. In HOI I had to alot because of the combat modifiers, and I find myself with EUII reading through the forums for inflation with the may 11 beta.
