Did you remove the stray pixels you had before?

I think so.

What I did was this: remove the stray pixels in rivers.bmp that were denounced in the log as bad rivers, then save as indexed and use ir as a base, via recolouring, to ensure any of the other maps have stray pixels either.

The mapchecker in particular didn't find anyone the last time I, well, checked it.

I tried copying the vanilla trees.bmp (with indexed colours) into my mod and tried a blank trees.bmp (also with indexed colours) in different sizes. Yet my mod still crashes at 'creating trees'. Apart from the trees.bmp, is there something that could explain the crashes?

Is your mapping working now?

On my map, which is still crashing though (at "loading graphics") I had to put in that portage so it didn't crash at "Calculating Naval Ranges", so the issue seems still to exist.

Thank you a lot!!! How did you do it? Only fixing the cultures, or did you do something else?

And yes, the terrain is expected to be ugly, I didn't want to Touch it if I couldn't ser the result anyways

I'll try it once i get to my computer!

I changed a lot. The biggest issue were your messed up rivers. At least I think so. Disabling the cultures (so that everyone is noculture) seems to help to get past "adapting history" (i.e. loading the game after selecting a character. No idea if splitting up the deep roads into 4 silly blocks and splitting oceans etc. was necessary.

I see... Any idea of what was wromg about the rivers?
What would be the correct usage of yellow pixels?

I did not have to change the rivers.bmp; This file isn't as dangerous as you seem to think. If something is wrong with a river it simply doesn't show up ;)
Compare yourself.
As it is with most things CK2 I don't quite know what a) made the game load up and b) allowed me to start a game as king Sancho.

JonStryker, how did you fix the "Naval range" issue? As I said, I couldn't use my map if I deleted that one portage.
That is a problem caused by your sea provinces. As far as I know you must have at least one sea province connected to a land province. It should also be correctly defined in it's own sea zone and ocean region.
