Map Modes Stuck on Screen

Description​

Different map modes (ie, radicals, loyalists, infamy, markets) will get stuck on screen while not being in lock map mode. Can usually be corrected by opening up the politics screen and exiting out but still annoying.

Steps to reproduce​

Have a map mode up and quickly open some sort of overlay to the map (ie: diplomatic play, country info screen, market info, budget, etc). Doesn't happen every time, but seems to happen when I quickly go between different overlays

I have a similar problem. With no lens selected, the map mode is stuck on migration and I can't seem to select anything else on the smal globe on the bottom right. Any other map mode choice is ignored. Same on the ledger. 1.6.2

I'm verifying files now....

Restarting the game and reloading fixed the issue.

I have this happen all the time and it is really annoying. Sometimes I can get it to change lenses but most of the time I cannot and have to reload the save.

Edit- To be clear the default lens gets stuck on a different lens (like a lock) and I can change lenses but when you try to go back to default it get stuck on a non-default lens.

Can also confirm this. Tried selecting other map mode or different ledger, but still stuck on a map mode that happened to be selected somehow. For example, I got stuck on Global GDP map mode, which was somehow selected and which was not what I wanted.

I have the same issue, have been able to quickly fix by instead of changing map modes absolutely. Mousing over a value that previews a different map mode, such as SOL in the state population screen of something similar. Still very annoying.

Yes, I have reported this for the ledger a few weeks ago. But I disagree with the player pain, The map modes are very important. If it could always be fixed by switching to another view it would still be a 5 or 6 for me. If it would not work always (and for me it doesn't) it would be an 8 for sure. But a 1? This is not a minor typo or something like this. I would have to exit the game and load a savegame to continue playing.

A stuck map mode or some important map modes that are not working are affecting gameplay a lot. If it would just affect the ledger it still would be way more than a 1.

That confirms what I said: Player pain is much higher than 1. This is a bug that is not as important as a crash. But it is not that far away from a crash.

This is such a pain that happens to me on average 3-5 times during a 3-hour playing session.

The bug is still here in 1.9.7 1741 but there is a workaround , which consist to tape "Q" twice each time you need to swich from one map mode to another. Not ideal but at least it works.
