Are you guys having a memory leak from the recent patch too?

My system crashed a couple of hours after playing and at one point it was using close 30k ram. Never had this much ram being used at all by stellaris

Unless (and even then) you play on a Commodore 64, 30k memory usage is nothing. Do you perhaps mean 32 GB?

I haven't checked memory usage myself but wouldn't be surprised with the massive changes Stellaris has gone through. You could create a big galaxy and go into observer mode and let it run and see what happens.

Yeah 32gb lol

Im not sure whats causing it tbh. The game plays with normal memory for a couple of hours but at some point in time the memory goes absolutely crazy and I either need to restart the game or (if I dont do it fast enough) the whole computer.

Never had this happen with stellaris before. I was hoping some other community members are facing the same issue and could perhaps locate the issue for me

Could mean a lot really. For instance, a loop that goes over all pops stratas and does something but keeps the result in memory and does that again and again without freeing the memory etc. In other words, a wrong sequence of events or way of handling internal mecanics. Some of these are hard to detect.

Would it be possible for pdx to push out an emergency hotfix related to this memory leak?

As mentioned by others, not until August. We're going to keep updating the Wilderness Open Beta with improvements from our continued development until then.

Understandable.

Nonetheless since I got your attention in the thread I create, Im going to take this chance to ask if your team can also check these 6 bugs on the pops?

As far as I know in 4.0.21 they are still present and they should be relatively quick to fix and add to the beta. A few of them are merely display bugs (i.e. the effects still apply correctly but the info isnt displayed every time)

Thanks

Are there any fixes or features in 4.0.21 which isn't in the Wilderness Open Beta?
