I feel kinda sorry for those poor pals, that will come to read this thread later. Preferably ones that didn't actually read books - and that are not sure if we aren't flame warring about some obscure excerpts.

So.. any news on Essos?

What happens if an owner of a Valyrian steel sword dies, but he has no family left to inherit? Does it go to the liege, vassal, courtier, or a relative through female line?

My experience is that it always goes to the liege. I actually managed to steal Red Rain this way when I was playing as the Iron Isles and managed to kill off the entire Drumm family.

you have to go into AGOT.txt in your traits folder and comment out "customizer = no" under the notabear trait, then you can use it in ruler designer. Alternatively, be a female Mormont and have lots of summer fairs until the "Bear and a Maiden Fair" event fires.

Well its not really gamebreaking but is this normal?

I don't quite know what you're looking at...

If you are lucky an event chain can happen where The Iron Throne invades Pentos. I've never seen it personally, but I know someone who has.

I just scoured the files for this, and saw nothing. Any insight?

There are many, many secret events, I've been playing this for quite a while and I havent heard of this. Also, gameplay related spoiler below.

Just tonight, I discovered that as the King Beyond the Wall, you can find the horn of winter and destroy the Wall!!

HOOOOOOLYYYYYYYY! That is AWESOME!

Also, unrelated (sorry if this may be a common question), does anyone know if the Reyne uprising exists in the game?

Cool! I didn't know that!

I understand that there's a lot of secret stuff, but I am pretty sure I read through almost every relevant events file and didn't see anything about invading Pentos.

The essos ruler being a vassal of the iron throne does as well happen if daenarys takes the iron throne. She passes the title to some courtier and keeps mereen as a vassal.
Since those rulers have no land and armies they are not an issue for the factions, but they count towrds the prestige earnings for their liege.
