Oh okay, good! The lag is pretty annoying, if you need me as a test dummy, I'm here to help!

I will post some lag test version today... I just need to rework things a bit and when you're editing a file with that many building entries in it -well suffice to say it might take me all day hehehe.

I've managed to find a compromise system I'm not entirely disatsfied with and I've been working on it. If all goes well I will post that later today if I finish it. It will feature a complete economic revamp... and will keep you occupied developing your lands for hundreds of years. You might even think twice before giving up that 3 holding slots highly developed core province for that 6slot barbarian dump.

They're hiding behind the black pixels. :ninja:

I'm debating with myself whether I want to completely remove all troop buidlings not tied to culture. That would clear the building browser up a bit - instead I would have a building line that would provide cultural army composition, maybe something like Doctrine: Hellenistic Army: etc. I'm still deciding on how to handle it.

That would simplfy things a lot, solve most lag problesm.

Is the general claiming descent from Alexander in Thessalonika the doux of Thessalonika?

Yes - the Hyparkhos Dorotheos of Thessalonika - you can see from his family name - Argeadai. :)
---------------
I don't have time to solve the military system today but I will post an update before I go to bed with the new economic system in place for lag testing purposes mostly.

This is quite impressive. Have you done this all on your own? If so, I don't even know what to say, other than stand speechless with astonishment and admiration.

How much time have you put into the map and new religions/cultures? Have you found any tools or methods that helped ease the process? I have an idea for a world overhaul mod, but before I start manually editing 1000 history files, I want to know if there's a better way.

Thank you for your kind words mate. I've done this by myself and sadly I'm a bit of an old school notepad user... although I've only very recently switched to Notepad++. So I just keep at it and eventually it gets done. The amount of time I spent building this mod is a bit insane, I honestly don't know how much... Many, many, many hours. The secret is persistance and desire to do it I guess.

EDIT: On cultures - There's a cultures thread on this forum that can be very helpful. I've used that for some things.

I in fact did the majority of the work, but Shaytana and myself earlier agreed on a pact of mutual denial.

Must be a contract we signed and now hidden under the black pixels hiding the Rockall implementation. :p

Well sleep tight I still wait for the finished mod cause I want to be able to play a full game and lots of updates tend to screw up the saves:ninja:. So get cracking:rofl:

Hi Shaytana, i'm sorry to come to this thread but you seem more active on this one, when do you think an update for BLC will come out ? Cause i love your work, and i can't get to play without it, i'm pretty impatient to have the pleasure to play with it again ! Thanks in advance for the answer, and keep up the great work guy !

Aye, well... I officialy give up on tonight's update sadly...
It's 1am already and I ran the mod through the validator -I was thinking I have a couple corrections or so to do then post it then go sleep... but I have a list so f_ing huge of stuff I need to fix I officialy give up for tonight given my eyes are half closed already.

So sorry guys, I will update tomorrow...on the upside it's going to be a better update.

Sorry, I've been insanely busy with Lux Invicta - 1am+ here (going to bed now as said in previous post) so I have not had the time for BLC. I will most likely post a BLC update as soon as I find the time - but it's secondary atm to fixing Lux Invicta.

-I don't wanna promise anything but I'm thinking I'll release a 1.06b compatible BLC tomorrow after I release the Lux Invicta update (or before - because the Lux Invicta update is 10000000000X more work)
/going to bed now.

Tomorrow ?! I'm so happy right now ! Was thinking like 1 or 2 weeks, cause i understand the work you have with lux invicta which seems to be a huge mod (i'm no modder ^^') !

Well i can't thank you enough for the quick answer and the work you put in your mods ! Have a good night guy !

@Shadowbmz - no idea. I haven't touched crown authority.
-------------------

I'm now thinking of deleting all of the generic military buidlings (the ones that build one type of troop - like archers) in military regions (castles) and implementing a liege-culture only system. Why liege-culture only? Because I wanted military infrastratructure to go boom on conquest(and armies be as unique as possible per culture)...obviously the downside is you should not let your character switch culture. So the military in a castle would go like this: regional tradition, regional troops, legendary tradition (for a few), liege and province culture line already implemented AND the main line of troops based on liege culture.

Ok folks I'm asking you a question - do you prefer if I take my time and post a more complete update with a new military system implemented as well (might not happen today) or just post the economic buildings update (that should happen today)?

I've made my mind up. I'm going ahead with implementing my new system. I won't give an ETA on release of update.(there's hundreds of buildings to edit, make sure I don't screw up, brainstorm etc) The new military system will go like this:

1)regional tradition
2)regional troops
3)local legendary tradition
(as seen so far)

4)1 line of "levy" troops - tied to liege culture and generic(as in a lot of cultures bunched in that line) but unit specific as in altaics would center on horse archers + _____________, while saxons on heavy infantry + _______________
5)upgrading from levy line "state troops" line tied to liege culture - this will be the main army line - so for example Hellenistic characters would get a pike and heavy cavalry centric army
6)on the top of the army line upgrading from state troops line - elite corps line -so for example for Hellenistic characters you'd get Hetairoi.

Now provided I don't die of old age before implementing this, I think it should be fun to play with.
