I did created two regions just to test it, and as I mimicked other regions I did not forget that

Maurya Empire (buddhist wheel, I know in the beginning this wasn't a symbol...)

Anuradhapura (flag from wikipedia, coloured by me)

Chera (copied details from a coin)

Pandya (copied details from a coin)

Chola (copied details from a coin)

Kalinga (the name of the country in the script)

Minyue (copied details from a dish or something like that)

The following ones are obvious: the name of the country in the script

Han (the warring state, not the big dynasty later)

Alright then. I think the flag for the Maurya empire is very good, and the Chinese symbols look good as well. When it comes to the hand-drawn stuff, I'd suggest you don't make the outlines in a different colour. It doesn't matter if you have a yellow line around the red symbols (Chola); no one will see it in 64*64 anyway. Try working in 256*256 and zoom out to 25% every once in a while, so you know what it looks like once it's scaled down.

I'm now dealing with cultures. Wiki has these two images:

It seems I will divide the indian cultures in two cultural groups: indoaryan and dravidian. Of course I will not include all of them, from the images I'm thinking to add:

Indoaryan
- Hindi (including bihari, nepali and pahari)
- Oriya
- Bengali (including asamiya)
- Marathi (including konkani and khandeshi)
- Rajasthani (including bhili) (maybe to be included in Hindi?)
- Gujarati (including sindhi)
- Punjabi (including lahnda, kohistani, pashal, khowar, shina, kashmiri and dogri)

Dravidian
- Telugu
- Tamil (including malayalam)
- Kannada (including tulu, kodava)
- Sinhala

I don't know how anacronic these cultural groups may be

This is my suggestion for rivers in Central Asia; the Cophen river would reach the Indus in its new position. The Oxus is actually good how you did it, you can leave it that way (don't move it further north as shown here) and just add the channel from the delta to the Caspian sea. The Jaxartes is also ok but it has a more pronounced southward bend where it reaches Alexandria Eschate (modern Khodjent).

This is my suggestion for Indus and changes of the position of a few capitals:

This is how i suggest to rename Seleucia, Babylon and Opis and move a bit the capitals... Babylon was on the Euphrates, Seleucia on the Tigris and Opis (future Ctesiphon) on the other side of the Tigris from Seleucia.

I attached an .xls file with a list for a few province names corrections, resources, population, etc. If you want Camara i can edit the game files by myself and sending them to you or you can do it by yourself. I don't post them here because it takes forever to adjust text copied from an excel file... but everyone interested can have a look and give their suggestions

this map shows the approximate position of some Schytians/Sacae tribes. They were all of Iranian culture (thus in the Persia culture group). I've never played a tribe in Rome... can they migrate or only barbarians can migrate? These tribes could be made rather populous and strong so that they can pose an immediate threat to the Seleucid Empire (most of them migrated south in the game timeframe).

no problem Also if you switch Babylon and Seleucia, remember to switch their resources, civilization, history, etc. too. I guess you could switch the province ID in the history folder so that the file called Babylon would be called Seleucia and viceversa.

A word on the indian cultures:
I've been modding eu3 to create a more realistic indian situation, among the things I did was make an entirely new map for india.
Those culture language groups from wiki would sadly not apply to the era of this game (this is more true for northern india than southern but for instance neither hindi nor telugu should exist in the rome era). I'm however not knowledgeable enough on this to give any further directions though
As I'm currently redoing central asia for my own mod in the eu3 era I couldn't help but notice that your fergana province seems to be shaped the wrong way, it's a valley that goes east->west not north to south.
It's also my understanding that Transoxania and Sogdania are different names for the same thing (the region beyond the Oxus/Amu Darya dominated by the cities of Bukhara and Smarakanda/Samarkand) and that they are usually used to refer to a much larger area than those two provinces on your map (more like a region in eu:rome).
My central asian historical atlas also has a lake between the caspian sea and soutwest of the aral sea (that's not there today).
Lastly I think the Indus is looking good (possibly it extends too far to the north, I have a bit of a problem getting my orientation without the mountain chains and without entirely understanding what's in the PTI and what's not) but it usually is given atleast five of it's "arms" on most maps as that's the reason for the name of Punjab (the region of the five waters). I can't say much about province names for india during this era

Good work though, I love to see the eu:rome map expanded eastwards. I always thought the map should continue to at least the Indus. My only fear is that the game will have trouble running so many countries at once.

Fergana Valley proper would be the province called Wansu i think, Oxia/Oxiana should be a bit further east too considering the position of Ai Khanum, etc.. Yes Sogdiana and Tranxosiana were basically the same (Transoxiana maybe the bigger area and Sogdiana the eastern part), I just wanted to give relevant names to the provinces considering that Maracanda was the capital of Sogdiana, Nautaca is "trans the Oxus" etc. Also yes Indus should have 5 rivers, but I think they would clutter too much the area...
I believe for the scope of the mod (such a huge area, without modifying the original map which is not perfectly accurate to start with) the map is good enough though, maybe just needs some minor changes, like Fergana renamed to something else and Wansu renamed Fergana, etc.

I actually enjoyed the game even though it was so weird, i waged a war against Maurya militia vs militia due to the omnipresence of grain provinces I think once the resources, regions, pops, religions and cultures are placed you could release a first version of the mod for the 279 BC scenario.

Oh, you just need to put the files of the rar in the "mod" folder and then chose Magna Terra in the launcher.

yes I had that too; actually I had the tooltip showing I would research the first tech like in 19something but i got it fast and after that one after the other. Some countries started at tech 18... Also when I tried to play vanilla again it wouldn't load after "creating the world", i tried emptying the map cache but still didn't work. Later I will try a clean reinstall.
