You could perhaps get some bits and pieces from the Crisis of the Confederation mod (with their permission, of course).

I really hope this works out for you guys! You'd be the first successfully implemented Stargate Mod I've ever seen.
I led a small Stargate TC mod team for Galactic Civilizations II that petered out about half-way through.

The only TC mod left for my dreams to come true would be a Golarion (Pathfinder campaign setting) mod...
A man can dream, right?

You totally have my permission, at least - the intent of CotC is to be a springboard for any other SF mods for CK2.

I started rewatching Stargate a little while ago, and found myself thinking how well the goa'uld translate to CK2. Well, until the Tau'ri turn up a few thousand years in and required scores of elaborate event chains to run just a few years.

The issue that kind of stymied my musings was how to implement the Stargates themselves, in a military sense.

The Tau'ri could just be an event-spawned enemy like the Mongols who start blobbing systems as they "explore" and "liberate" from the System Lords.

Thank you very much!

Are you thinking of including the Ori, Asgard, Wraiths too?

Wraith will be added in a later "expansion", but the ori and asgard will certainly be included from the start.

I'm sorry guys but I can't show you screenshots yet, we've already made a lot of progress though so expect updates soon-ish.

I assume the mechanism here is that each province is a 'planet'. How do you intend to model stargates though? They are 'lightspeed' yet the map will calculate distances based on actual map distance... never mind the adjacencies!
