[MOD] Witcher Kings

Playing as Arjan La Valette's uncle, I can have Stennis commit suicide (or any other depressed character). That's what my screenshot shows. I don't think the ability to have any depressed character commit suicide playing as a completely different character is a feature/WAD. I'm aware that the decision has now become a vanilla diplomacy action, but this quirk isn't in the unmodded game.

I downloaded the update and as soon as my game opened, I got this. Black flags and the blank A event. I selected Temeria from the Assassination of Kings Bookmark, and that is the fist thing I saw. The black flags are also showing on the selection screen. I'll try deleting the mod, then I'll download it again to see if that solves the problem.

Edit: I deleted all the files and re-installed the mod. After two times, everything seems to be working now. Looks great!

I added two missing lines to the suicide decision. I think that'll fix that. Thanks for reporting :)

Why can't you use the decisions for spies and stewards if you want men?

The new portrait looks great! A piece of criticism on the crown in the other pic though, shouldint the lightibg/shadow be inverted? The light on the face seem to come from the right side and that on the crown from the left. The effect is a bit... Disconcerting.

Is the bucket girl a marshall, troopleader or ruler at war? Have you added a new frame to the dds of the bucket to its right? That might have screwed headgear...

...Beginner guesses, I know.
 
I've noticed a problem where characters will have no education traits

It happens different characters whenever I start a new game

Besides that, this is a great mod. My only complaint is that more canon characters need assigned traits; it always feels weird when Geralt gets autoassigned craven, chaste, racist, and zealous

Three traits had their names and graphics mixed up. The characters above have education traits but they are invisible. I fixed that in the dev version on the svn already :)

You are right. I fear you are greatly overestimating my graphics skill. I've got no clue how to change the lighting of that. I just skewed the crown that Foltest wears in one of the official artworks to make it fit a CK2 character ;)

Something in that dreaded file, portrait_properties.gfx. It's odd that she gets that helmet each time even with different traits. She never has any minor title or court position. She is just a king's demented wife ;)

As for the crown, the easiest would be if there is a possibility of create a sort of mirror image of the crown (i.e. For each two pixels x and y, make it so that if x is in the right of y, it changes to be in its left, and vice versa). Thrn just rotating the image to fit the head should do. Of xourse I don't know how to do that, but is seems a more concrete and manageable task than "changing the light focus".

As for the helmet thing, I'll try to look at the files, since I'm trying to learn how portraits work and getting familiar with them
 
I don't know is this a bug in the mod, or in the game, but I was able to take the ambition to be "exalted among men" 3 times in a row. (I completed it, reselected, completed it and reselected again) and my game crashed.

Game couldn't handle so much exaltation.

There's three levels of exalted. Read the description of it before you select it! I couldn't reproduce that crash-bug, though. I wonder what causes that.

But it was (as far as I noticed) the same ambition, with the same 1000 prestige goal (and rewards were the same) so it just auto completed twice before crash.

Ok, I got it again 3 times (could take more) but didn't crash this time. (it's the one that requires 1000 prestige and gives 10 opinion with your vassals))

So it seems someone is making a Witcher mod of their own

Could recruit them to work on this one.

Also, have been playing The Witcher games. Finished the first. Loved it.

Edit: My mistake. Thought it was another group. I'm just highly confused as to why a new thread was made when this one is superior.
 
I was wondering if anyone would like to help me make a Gnomish portrait? It's the last race without a custom portrait. I have the trait icon and everything for the Gnomish race, except I'm using the Druedain gfx from MEP as a placeholder for the race. It just looks weird! :) but it's the closest I can get atm. Anyways, if you would like to help me out I would be very thankful.
 
Hello, I haven't played this awesome mod for ages and now I feel relentless desire to spend some hours with it. Which DLC should I enable to avoid wasting precious memory for something that the mod doesn't make use of?
