I've been out of the game since just before the release of Urban Warfare. My game keeps locking up during the mission loading screen. The output log (attached) seemed to be calling out errors with the vehicle pathing. I don't have any mods with vehicles, so initially I was confused. I verified my files...still had the error. Executed a clean uninstall and re-install...still had the same error.

On a whim, since I assumed it dealt with pathing, I deleted all my Mech mods and tried again...and it now runs. But playing the game without the Phoenix Hawk, Warhammer, Marauder, etc., just doesn't feel right.

So, here's my question: has anyone gotten the various Mech mods to load and run correctly?

BTW, I'm running ModTek v0.7.2 with the following Mods, with no issue:
- BTMLColorLOSMod
- CommanderPortraitLoader
- PilotHealthPopup
- RandomCampaignStart
- RandomSciFiEmblems
- Retrainer
- SellMechParts
- RealHitChance

These are the Mech Mods I WANT to run:
- BD_Archer Vanilla
- BD_Assassin Vanilla
- BD_Corsair Vanilla
- BD_Flea Vanilla
- BD_Marauder Vanilla
- BD_Rifleman Vanilla
- BD_Roughneck Vanilla
- HotD-Charger
- HotD-PhoenixHawk
- Warhammer

Any help/pointers would be helpful. Thanks in advance!

Nearly all those 'Mechs are running properly in my mod (I don't have the Roughneck though).

If you downloaded them before the 1.6 update and UW were released, then those mods were likely updated since them.

I'd advise you to get a clean install of the game (just check the game files through Steam), then reinstall the latest ModTek (updated to 1.6), then reinstall those mods.

Where are you getting ModTek 1.6? I only see v0.7.2 on GitHub...

I meant update 1.6 for Battletech (it was released at the same time of UW) - it broke the mod system, so ModTek had to be upgraded to 0.7.2

Since those updates are downloaded automatically, the game would break if you tried to use an outdated ModTek.
 
I must be missing something; I have the latest Battletech Version 1.6.2-552R and ModTek 0.7.2, and I've already accomplished a clean uninstall. Maybe I need more coffee....

What's the name of the mod you're trying to run?

I can't find any of those mods in Nexusmods. The only mod closer would be Hangar of Dispossessed but that mod hasn't been upgraded to BT 1.6x, so it won't work.

What you need to do is find a mod that contains an updated version of those 'Mechs to work with 1.6, otherwise they won't work at all.
 
HotD is Hangar of the Dispossessed. The Warhammer is from B4CKF1SHModding. The others are the Mech mods from arguskos. I.e., they're the only ones on Nexus Mods.

I deleted out the ones that predated the mechs released with the first two BT expansions (Javelin, etc.). arguskos's updates are timestamped 5 June 2019, but none of the others are updated post the release of 1.6.

They are in the Community Asset Bundle with updated versions for 1.6, so my guess is that the authors permanently moved them there.
 
Ah, okay. I'd seen references to that Mod, but I had no idea what it was. Is it customizable? I.e., I want to play 3025, not 3062.

Do you have the BattletechPerformanceFix ? since 1.6 dropped you need this for mech mods to work

I don't have the Performance Fix installed and I'm using CAB with 1.6, so this is incorrect.

I berlieve you will still need the performance fix

I've played 1500 hours without any mods installed.

I installed CAB + Mech Resizer to make my Hyades Rim work, and it uses nearly all of the 'Mechs in the OP. I hardly noticed any effect in performance.

So I ask: are you sure it isn't another mod that you're using that is causing the issues?
 
This is my list of mods.

I was incorrect before because I've been using Navigation Computer before 1.6 came out, but that's the only mod I've constantly used.

CAB and MechResizer are required for HyadesRim to work (and the mod also includes LogoReplacement)
DeepPeriphery and MechsHeavyAssault3025 are related to the HyadesRim - features being tested to later installation.
FYLS (more detailed error logs) and SkipIntro are used for HyadesRim development.

I had a look through your out put log and it looked ok to me

I think you misunderstood me... so far I've had zero issues with CAB or any other of the mods on the list I posted.
