mods that change traffic behaviour have more of an effect that most other mods, so traffic++ and Traffic manager president. depending on your PC at around the 100,000 population mark was when i started to notice slowdown, so i stopped using them. and of course the more assets you have loaded the longer the load time will be

I want the best experience and have seen that mods can really make the game even more beautiful. I mostly subscribe to mods which covers buildings, residentials and Commercials. In the new DLC traffic is supposed to be better so maybe Traffic++ and Traffic manager president is redundant?

By the way, do you know how to manually update mods which are not created by me? In Europa Universalis 4 and Stellaris I can change the Version number but I did not understand much about Cities: Skylines mods.

they should automatically update. though this only happens if the mod/asset uses the same page on Steam. for instance network extensions mod is outdated but network extensions 2 was made to replace the original, you would have to unsubscribe the original and resubscribe to version 2 to get the latest version. this also happened for Traffic++ and Traffic++V2, but in the majority of cases they should just update automatically.

I think you are right. But could it be a provocation from my ally to get me into war with them? I have cored provinces they have claim on. In particular 50% of Balochistan is my land and Persia (my ally) has the rest.

i have no idea what any of that means

I understand that Mods will disable achievements, but can someone tell me whether adding Assets and changing the colour settings (LUT) disables achievements too..
Apologies if this is a silly question, but only just made the jump to PC after discovering my computer will run the game, up until now I have been playing on Xbox, so the whole mods and assets thing is a completely new world to me.

Thanks

not sure since i've always just used the mod that allows achievements while using mods (and possibly assets). but since 90% of the achievements are pretty easy to get with or without mods, and also achievements aren't exactly important to life, just use the mod and forget about it.

simplest way of testing it is to add/use an asset and see if you get the really easy achievements (assuming you don't already have the ones like start a city or have five fire station etc.)

You make a good point, making the rather sudden and unexpected move from Xbox to PC, my head is still in the achievement cloud.
I'll look up the achievement mod mentioned and enjoy the best of both.

Thanks

When loading a saved city, it should show an icon for achievements showing whether they are enabled or not.
If a mod is on that disables it, the little trophy should have a red "no" circle on it.
