Mods missing descriptor files

Hello
I'm having a bit of a problem, some of my mods say they are missing a descriptor file.
And now I can't use them, I have looked around the pdx and the steam forums but have not found a solution.
I'm posting this here because it only seems prevalent with my pdx games (the problem also appears within hoi4/ck3/city skylines).
Could someone please help me, I have resubscribed to all my mods and cleared mod files of the respective games.
To me it's quite a problem because I now cannot play with mods.
I hope that someone can help me with this problem

I had same problem with one mod and I couldn't fix it other than by cleaning Stellaris' settings (in Windows under Documents\Paradox Interactive\Stellaris). You can rename the folder and see if helps and if it fixes the problem you can then move custom empires, save games etc. from the old folder.
