Mods won't load using Steam/Manual in Set up screen [Mac]

I have a Mac Book Pro. It runs the game fine, however it doesn't recognise anything in the mod folder. When I launch the game I can't press the mod tab at all, even if I have mods in my mod folder from the steam workshop or otherwise put there (namely AGOT). If I press Shift tab to go into the steam workshop overlay and subscribed to a mod I can click the mod tab. It will show the one mod I subscribed but nothing else, I also can't click the checkmark next to the mod. If I go to my mod folders in CKII it will show that mod in a zip file. If I try to unzip the file it will create a (mod name).zip.cpgz file. If I click that it creates a (mod name) 2.zip
