Please don't rip my head off :) This is off the top of my head, and not 100% completely worked-through.

Why not either add a few more starting dates, or replace a few of the "less important" ones (like "The Rogue Prince" or "After the Spring")?
I would love the opportunity to have a starting date that would allow you to choose how you're gonna react to Rhaegar's taking Lyanna. The reactions of houses Stark and Baratheon could have been different (well "could"....you know what I mean), and thus the whole rebellion be avoided. Indeed, Rhaegar could have chosen to come to his senses and not crown Lyanna Queen of Love and Beauty - or at least not kidnapped her.
So a starting date at the close of the tourney at Harrenhal could be good there.

Similarly - it could be fun to have "A Clash of Kings" start at the time of Robert's death - which then unlocks a million possibilities for different results: Ned can choose to bend the knee to Joffrey in spite of his knowledge (which would give him lots of negative traits, I'm guessing)....Joffrey/Cersei can choose to have him sent to the Wall rather than behead him... Robb can choose to bend the knee (getting the same negative traits as Ned, I imagine) or do as he did OTL.

The point is that there are lots of unexplored alternate options that are screaming to be available.

Or am I completely off?

The Rogue Prince is actually more fleshed out than others btw.

There will be no Game of Thrones bookmark as most decisions revolve around what Ned does

Also you realise you can go to any date you want and play on from there even if it isn't a bookmark

The Rogue Prince is awesome.

Start as Daemon, conquer the Stepstones, then carve a new empire in Valyria!

I would really like a post conquest start date, so we get the canon political situation without having to deal with the bugs that often come with manually picking a start.

I want a king Aegon V Bookmark, with jenny of oldstones events.

You can manually turn the date to after the conquest, I have done it an never got any bugs with it.. what goes wrong when you do it?

I want to see either a conquest of dorne or one just after it, ie the years prior to the blackfyre rebellions.
There was a Conquest of Dorne scenario but it was buggy so was removed

Most of the times I've tried, say, starting just before the end of the Rebellion, my liege is somehow Viserys (again this is before the Rebellion ends in the usurper' victory) and the game CTDs

Age of Heroes for sure! or maybe even the War for the North date. where the boltons and the greystarks are fighting for the north.

Aside from maybe getting the Conquest of Dorne bookmark fixed, I'd say we're good on bookmarks for now. The devs seem to be working on adding more lore from the World of Ice and Fire book right now, and I'm fine with expanding on cultures and adding events to this instead of adding bookmarks from eras where there is so little known. The next bookmark we really need added is the Winds of Winter, but that's all in GRRM's hands.

What would be great would perhaps be an Andal Invasion Bookmark, Pre-Aegon's Conquest. First Men + Children Of The Forrest vs Andals... Also, Age of Heroes
Im pretty sure they have said that bookmarks dating that far back would be pretty much impossible to do, because it would require changes in the map, which is something CK2 isnt capable of. A big problem with bookmarks ( at least in my opinion ) that go back further than Aegons conquest, is that the lore that is known about it is usually very vague or just plain rumors.

what change in the map would be required? if anything it would just make almost every "Duke" a King. and the "kingdoms" would grow or fall as people married or were killed off through conflicts.

Stuff like the Arm of Dorne not being broken, or the Doom of Valyria not having occured. Another minor thing is, im not sure if the year counter can even go that high / low, to make stuff that happened about 10000 years ago possible.

Played as Daemon, got the Empire of New Valyria and converted to the pirate faith first, then to the R'hlor next. Cuz the night is dark and full of terrors. I'm having fun burning those dirty peasants ;)
