MP crash

I did not find any subject about it, so I make one. I try to play with my brother in LAN, he has steam version and me Gamersgate. So after searching during a long time, we found that he had to re-install the game, now we both have KUMH. But when one of us puts "search game" in multiplayer, it crashes. And we can't join each other's game in Metaserver as well.

We have same internet box, so if he opens IP for him he can't for me. But I can't even join him.

Can you try using DirectIP instead of Lan? To do that use thye "Direct IP" MP option, and whoever is not host will enter the other one's local IP address. To see that just do IPCONFIG in a dos box.
