MP game

hi, I'd like to play a MP game(any scenario). However, I don't have ICQ, but i have both msn&Yahoo! Messenger.
My specs are:
ADSL connection (so no static IP adress)

I strongly advise you get ICQ. No one I know who plays a lot and manages to play significant continuation games gets by without ICQ. It is also invaluable for reloads. Arranging games by Email is just a big no no in my experience. Once you are on ICQ I would be happy to give you the ICQ numbers of players who just don’t, or that cant?, stop……

People may want to consider trying the 'Trillian' client. It replaces your AIM, ICQ, MSN, Yahoo! Messenger, and IRC chat clients and gives you a single unified interface. It's small, fast, and on my system, stable. It doesn't install adware or spyware, and doesn't flash ads at you. I like it a lot.

Do you have to have ICQ on your computer for Trillian?(because I really hate ICQ starting every time I start my computer

There is a preference in ICQ that disables it from loading upon launch - therefore allowing you to manually start it at anytime instead.

No. I believe you have to install ICQ long enough to get an account if you want to use ICQ with Trillian - then, you can rip the bloated unstable monstrosity of a program from your harddrive with extreme prejudice.

It works the same for Trillian's AIM, MSN Messenger, and Yahoo! Messenger functions; you'll need to have the original program to get a user ID for that particular system, but you don't need to have it installed to use Trillian to connect to their networks.

Also, as Quietus points out, ICQ (and Trillian, as well), can be set in program preferences to start when you boot the computer automatically, or to only start when you tell it to.

I have reinstalled ICQ now. My ICQ# is 151883560
Haven't tried that Trillian yet, since I'm not the only one using the computer.

Now that I am on ICQ can you give me the numbers of those players. Any way I can get them is fine by me. Just reply any way you want.

Hi. I am new in MP too, so perhaps it would be good to start with similary "experienced" players. My ICQ number is 119779134. Please contact me if you have a serious long term game in mind. Usually I can play in the evening, let's say 21-... (Central Europe Time Zone).
