MP Games that are affected by the changes in Windows Firewall

Was reformating and installing my Facory software and came across information that may, or may not be applicable.

Certainly worth a read if your having troubles.

Already I personally messed up a little bit not installing certain updates prior to upgrading to Windows Service Pack 2.

Hmm, learn something new everyday.

There are specific issues pertanent to different manufacturers of PC's related to the installation of Windows Servace Pack 2.

Recommend before installing service pack 2 you research your Computers Manufacturers special instructions.

If you already installed service pack 2 and are experiencing problems of any kind you may find the problem has its roots in this issue.

I got one more piece of (hopefully) great advice for anyone having game crash issues.

Here at the following link is a step by step guide to to easily and conveniently start the game with a clean boot in order to negate the possibility of a crash from any conflicts with background programs.

I am praying this solves my problem because I have tried everything I can think of short of exchanging my CD in the remote possibility it is defective.

Mind you my game crashes after 5 to 10 minutes in an MP game.

I will update this message with how it goes.

I was limping along with the crashes since I got the game a couple weeks ago. This fixed it like a charm.

I could not stay loged into V-Net for longer than 10 minutes before I would be locked up and that was not even loading into the MP game.

I have been sitting in the lobby now for hours and I can still type.

I fully expect when I play my MP game tomorrow I will be peachy clean with no more crashes
