Mp troubles!

Hello, me and my buddy are trying to play a mp, but we can´t get it to work.
When one of us hosts a game and the other joins up, it just freezes for a second, then nothing. WE both have the same version v1.08. Please help us, it´s our first mp ever...

Well, if you are able to click on join and aren't told that it is a compatability issue, then one supposes it is either that the host computer can't handle the duty of being a host, or that the remote player (the one not hosting) is having issues with running the game as a remote player.

Try making sure both have rebooted before restarting the game, have all other software off (especially messenger programs), and see what happens. If it still gives you trouble, other, more knowledgeable heads will be along to help.

First guess is maybe a firewall (they freeze the game usually, if you don't give access to eu2.exe). Try to disable them to see if that works. If it works, re-enable your firewall and put the permissions on for eu2.exe.
