Hello CK2 players! I hope you are having as much fun in the game, as I am. Being as it is one of the best grand strategy games that paradox has released.

But, I have come to a small impass, that has been... well really annoying to try and get past. Hopefully you don't tl;dr this, and hear me out.

First, a friend and I were trying to play multiplayer together, EU3 worked fine for us so, we said, why not. But, trying hamachi, and even Meta Server, we were un-able to play together. (After hours of trying, this didn't happen as quick as I typed this.) So, after that, we tried using others softwares, being Tunngle (Which doesn't have a CK2 server up) and Cisco (Didn't work either).

We waited a couple of days, tried again, nothing. And we are really stuck here.

So, what I am basically asking, is there any way that we can play multiplayer, without having to open ports? We both don't have access directly to our router control, so we can't even open them from the router themselves. Any information can be of use!

Thank you for reading.

Of course not. The game uses certain ports to communicate with other installations of the game, how could it be otherwise? If there were, why would the requirement exist in the first place?

That said, if you can do it in EU3 there's no reason why you can't do it in CK2. The ports required are similar if not the same. Could it be you just don't have the same checksum, or something?
