Multiplayer Problem

Today me and i friend of mine wanted to play a multiplayergame with CORE2_0.315. I wanted to host a new game but my friend had to download a savegame from my pc, which is unusual because that normally only happens, if you want to start from a savegame. And what makes things even worse he's repeating it over and over again. Afterwards we tried starting a multiplayergame from a savegame we both had in our savegame folders but my friend still had to apparently download something from me.
Can you help me?

CORE does not work for MP in it's basic state. Copy the contents of "mod-CORE2" to the root directory of your game.

Ie. C:\Program Files\Paradox\DD\mod-CORE2\ should be copied to C:\Program Files\Paradox\DD\

This is because mod-dir does not work in MP, alas. So you aren't doing anything wrong, it's just the way the game engine works.
