And they have no problem announcing the Mars game?! It didn't have anything, no in game footage either. And that will be released sometimes in 2018 so about a year from now, give or take a couple of months. The two projects, Titus and Tiberius have been in development for ages now and none of them are ready to be announced?! Really???
If I understand correctly PDS operates semi-independently from PI. As for them announcing the release dates early or late, you can blame people like me for complaining about the delays with HOI IV. They admitted it was a mistake announcing so early with it and said they won't do it again. The upside of this (hopefully) is that when they do announce it won't be such as long a wait as it was with HOI IV.

Who said that they need to announce a release date? They do it all the time with their DLCs where they don't announce a release date until it is actually set in stone. As far as PDS and PI relationship goes, they are in the same building, they are very closely related. PDS is basically consisting of developers while PI does not have any developers. So I don't see the semi-independence anywhere.

PDS is a wholy owned subsidiary company of PI.

They did announce "Third Rome"! :p
Indeed.
They mixed Vic.3 and Rome.2 to create this "third rome" expansion just to making fun of us...

Third Rome is still a badass name for an expansion, and accurate with the subject. It is a million time better than, say, Horse Lords.

Imagine if they announce Rome 2 and then it ends up being a city builder on the bosporus because that's the second Rome...

And when do you think will they announce them?

I have three guesses, none of which have any substantial validity.

Either at E3 next month, Gamescom this summer, or at some point in Q4.

After the rollercoaster of development that was Hearts of Iron IV, it's reasonable to assume that after announcement, the game will come out six or seven months later tops. If any are announced at E3, expect a November, December, or January launch date. If any are announced at Gamescom or Q4, expect a Q2-Q3 2018 launch date.

I have a vague memory of HoI4 being explicitly stated not to be released in November or December because they were afraid of being competitioned away by the large amount of other games that release in those months. This would result in would-be fans buying later while having already seen that HoI4 was a buggy mess (and thus delaying their prospective sales even further).

Anyways, if they don't announce it this year, I don't expect it to be of this generation anymore - that's not necessarily bad, because it could result in better quality, yet it will then be longer term...

I wouldn't be opposed to this, that sounds like an interesting idea.
A detailed ancient city-builder that isn't a Caesar 3 copy would be very nice. :D

What happened to project Dallas? The one that was funded by EU.

I thought some of the project names were synonymous, like Dallas=Tiberius or Titus

They're publishing that game, but not making it themselves, which I suspect makes a difference.

I am not too sure that this is the case. They have afterall stepped up their quality as far as published games go as well. Previously, they published almost anything (even if it was a buggy mess), but those days are over.

*shivers* I still remember Gettysburg Armored Warfare. *shivers once again*
