Music in EU2 not working

I recently downloaded EU2 from GamersGate and installed 1.09. The game is working perfectly, and all sounds are fine. But there's no music. I checked the game settings, and music is on. Any ideas how to fix this?

Find the music files in the EU2 directory structure and see if they play in Windows by double-clicking on them. If not, or they're not there, you'll have to copy them over from the EU2 CD.

Also run eu2_settings.exe and check music is enabled.
