The important question

What will the general CK enhancement project be named? Goodness knows there's enough to be done, there's just so much in there that Paradox *can't* have done everything they could. And there are probably more events and traits would could add... and so on.

But that's for the future. How about coming up with a name for the inevitable CK project?

oooh... PECK. Project for Enhancement of Crusader Kings. :rofl:
 
I would hope that we can avoid a monster project for CK. Since setup and game mechanics are separated I would hope that we will see separate projects specializing on each of the scenarios, and separate that specializes on gamemechanics.

Whatever mod you will try to make, you will discover that because of the nature of the game, historical research you will have to make are much more difficult because:

- It's further away in history than the EU2 period (obviously)

- You're searching for historical events those would be quickly very very regionalist.

So I would say, call your project "GOOD LUCK" and find a good meaning for this acronym :D ;)

Name contest

The best name I've been able to come up with for a combined user-made event mod is LUCKE - Lots of User-made Crusader Kings Events. Anybody think of anything better?
 
LUCKS, inevitably it will become more than events, and 'Stuff' is ambiguous enough that you'll never have to change the name ;)

LUCKS v1.0 is up on my website: Crusader Kingdom

It currently includes my and Solmyr's events, plus events.txt and extra_text.csv (for button text).

That would be the alternative project in a couple of months, and then we will have to merge them in a LUCKS-SUCKS grand project in a few years :D

Couple of suggestions

May I make one suggestions for the LUCKS mod download?

- Including the directory structure of CK in the mod-zip, so as to let the user unzip to the main directory of CK (with 'Use folder names' enabled). That way everything is placed in the right directory in one go.

Not a big issue, but a little user-friendliness. I suspect this thing will grow fairly large within now and very soon. Placing individual files in their correct folder *will* become a chore (not to mention error prone. So you'd have to answer all those 'it don't work..' questions, you know?)
