I have just buy this game.

There is some updates(/ or some files, i am not sure) that i have to take?

One is some 1.05? But there are different 1.05-files? How i know, which edition i have?

Is this 1.05 only update (or something) i have to take?

How i know that i have succeed to take update? Is there some info how i take update?

There is also some EEP? But that is not the same than 1.05? Do i have to take that too?

First question is what version are you using? That will tell you which update to use.

The EEP is not 1.05, it is a new scenario designed by fans. Paradox do not accpet any responsibility for the product, but since the game is fairly moddable it should be reliable.

You should check which game version you have, e.g North America, and download the 1.05 patch for that version. It is the only update you need to take, but other scenarios, etc are good fun too. EEP is a fan designed scenario, which can be installed as well as the normal game. Other scenarios like it are in the making.
 
I have now take north american 1.05 and uk 1.05.

I can not use UK 1.05, it do not work.

North American do not work, it do not find game.

Is it so, that i have to install eu2 to some specific place?

This is eng-language version, so 1.05 have to be uk or na?

I think the HK version is a another English version. In the Start menu for the NA version it includes link for the SF Website, does your version provide this?

Sorry I should be a bit clearer. HK is the Hong Kong version. Or at least I heard there was a Hong Kong version in English.

When I say start menu I mean the windows start menu. So in my case I go Start>Strategy First>Europa Universalis 2 and there is gives me the option to go to the company web site.

What does your CD box say? Which names are on it? Where do you live? (nothing personal, just trying to find out your country publisher...:D )
 
I have install game to:

C: euro2

When i try to install 1.05 uk, i have text:

”EU2 is not installed on your computer. Please install the game before installing the update. The installation will now exit!”

I have same text with NA1.05 and Nordic1.05.

"In the Start menu for the NA version it includes link for the SF Website, does your version provide this?"

I have this link in my main file. So this is NA-version.

HEY! Where do you people have this game? I mean like ”c:\euro2” or ”c:\europa” or what? Could that be my problem? Update do not find game, because it is in other place??? Help me with this!?

You can play without it, it is just more buggy. However I think I know what the problem is. when youi install the patch how far do you get?

You should have the Scandinavian version of the game. It is in English too.
Use that patch :)

Just download it and double clck on it.....

As you have tried the wrong patches on the game then it might be better if you uninstalled the game and reinstalled it again first.

Why is the patch not installing?

Well you got to install the patch one of the things it asks for is the path. The installer does supply a defaut path wich is C:/program files/Strategy First/Europa Universalis 2. However if you have not installed EUII in the default path then the patch can not install in the path. So if you are not in the default path what you must do is figure out where it is. Use the find tool in windows and Look for Europa (hopefully there wont be toomany things called that). The tellt he patch this path. Hopefully problem solved.

If you don't install to the default path, the patch should still find the right path since it gets the path from the windows registration database :)
 
Ok, there nothing i can do now.

NA1.05 starts installing and i get some new word-files and editor and... to the main file, but when i hit eu2.exe nothing happen. Nothing.

I try to install game to: "C:/program files/Strategy First/Europa Universalis 2", but that do not help. Same eu2.exe problem.

Is it possible that this in not UK, NA or Nordic version? Language is eng. if i load game when it is 1.00.

If i succeed to install 1.05 and i load game, is there number 1.05 in the left up corner? Or is it 1.00?

I think i give up... this is not funny anymore...and that is the reason why i buy this f****** game... :)

What does it say on the box you bought? The distributors name should be written somewhere. (Strategy First, Typhoon, Vision Park, Ubisoft, Ozisoft or something) Likewise, most distributors usually include some sort of intro-video before the Paradox intro video, which will most likely include their name.

Finally, if that fails, which default path does the installer suggest you install to? Does installing the game create a folder in your windows menu with the distributers name?

Yes. With 1.05 installed it should say 1.05.
