newbie question(s)

okay, im not very heavy on the game of thrones mechanics, so pardon me if this question was addressed before. i started to play the mod again after stopping for a while, i remember when i play aegon targaryen and conquer the seven kingdoms, sometimes i get a choice to make my half-brother the lord paramount to one of the kingdoms, but i don't seem to get the choice anymore. is there a reason for that? what are the conditions for that event to pop up =X

one other thing is, how do i control the rebellious jerks in my kingdom? ~_~ im getting tired of beating them down every year or two

His daughter I think has to be unmarried and in recent patch she always marries quickly

alright i'll try and see what i can do, one other question if i may.

i remember you could interact with characters via a button on the diplomacy screen, like the courtiers,, paying them a visit, or giving them gifts amongst other things, what happened to that in the new version of the game? can't seem to find it

It's replaced with right mouse on characters.

ah.. silly me. alot of things seem different from what i remember ^^""

and alot of new conditions for example you can't 'visit chambers' unless you're valyrian? o.o kind of odd. i wanted to do the 'make the 8' ambition but found it hard since i can only seduce characters in the court i am in and i don't think its possible to get into others courts [aside from your direct liege] i am sad :C

having lots of fun with all the new additions tho. thanks for the hard work. though i really think we need some sort of a wiki... @_@ maybe there already is, ima google around

You need the seduce focus to visit chambers(unless you dont have WoL)

i have WoL but even with seduce, the options are really limited. i mean i see 'seduce' but i don't see 'visit chambers' [they're two different options with different requirements it seems]

also is it possible at all to include the tanistry in the game? i'd like to use it as an inheritance law. how can i do that if i may ask i would really appreciate it

Seduction replaces visit chambers if you have WoL unless they are a prisoner

ah i see.

also im having a CTD at a specific date in the game, tried 4 times and game crashed on the same date. is it possible to fix that, or do i have to wait for the next release?

Load autosave from eariler date, usually help
Specific date cts is quite mysterious case
Currently mod suffer it less than in past, but sometimes appears

tried loading an earlier save. now it crashes in a DIFFERENT time xD

We had to rehost last night 7-8 times in 3-4 hours of playing.

We just keep relaunching with whatever save we got.

that sucks... i'll try a couple more times with mine [its not a MP session so here's to being hopeful] it just went out beautifully, i couldn't have imagined my game to end up so interestingly. i was half expecting to be confined in dorne and just be a duke for 2-3 generations before something happened.

but within 23 years i managed to take over dorne and actually participate in battles with the reach. im kind of sad to have to restart this one

question what does a maester do exactly? he got no function/task and from what i can tell, he only takes over as regent. even when i have given the 'designated regent' to someone. is there any point in hiring a maester?

They have events which can boost the stats of your children as they grow up, or alternatively decrease the childrens stats. They also have a few events related to boosting or decreasing your soldiers morale.
