The weather has a big influence on the attrition-rate. I noticed that when (as Turkey) I send some troops to Siberia in the winter. Brrrrrr. I could have expected that.

But what about the other parts of the world. Should I stay out of africa and south-america during the summer ? And the seas near China, Nippon and Indonesia ? Can I sail there every time of the year ? Is the change on storms higher in some time of the year ?

That's a fair point. I haven't even noticed if the seasons work properly down south and don't now about increased summer attrition in the desert etc.

What I do know is that there is a definite storm season in the region from northern Brazil to the Gulf of Mexico (c August to October) and another bad season on the far side of the Pacific around the same time (I think)

By the drastic changes in temp. every single day in Africa I would hope that the attrition is more severe there at any time during the year. From -10°C to 50°C in 24 hours is extremely dangeous to any human in any time period without the proper protection.

Attrition rates in Africa are quite hard :D

If you don't believe it, try to field a decent sized invasion army in any part of Nubia or Aden or Oman (Aden/Oman aren't technically Africa propper but they're close enough)
