I'm confused by what seems to be some inconsistent requirements for court chaplain.
Details: I'm Irish tribal Chalcedonian high chief of Connacht, in the 769 start. At the start, I have no court chaplain, nor any candidates for that position. I cannot switch my single bishop from his starting position as chancellor (which he is terrible at) to chaplain. I had an event wherein a courtier was called to build a temple, which he did. Once it was completed and he took his place as the bishop, he was available as a chaplain candidate. Both bishops had a theology education, and neither seems to have any other significant "religious" traits (like Monk), but one could be named chaplain and one could not.
Going through, it looks like few, possibly none, of the tribal Chalcedonians actually have any eligible court chaplains in the 769 start.
If I trigger the schism decision and become Catholic, the chaplain list fills out like it normally looks in vanilla.
Any idea what's going on?
