Not opening policies tab after reloading a game that crashed after closing

This is pretty interesting.

After saving and closing down(returning to windows), the game crashed (happens also to other players. Multiple reports read).
When i tried to load this saved game, i wasnt able to see the policies tab.

When i saved the same game and exited again, it did NOT crash that time. When i then loaded this latest save game, i was able to enter the policies tab again.

Coincidences dont exist right?

Win 8 64
8 GB memory
Intel I7 3.4 GHz 8 cpus

This doesnt effect my game yet, but thought i should report this. Maybe this triggers other problems in the future.

I just had the same issue come up when loading my game today although I don't recall it crashing on exit last night but then I was half asleep by that point. :happy:

I loaded my saved game today and tried to enter the policies tab for it only to show the little "X" but right at the bottom of the screen above the bulldozer icon but none of the policies. I tried setting up a district and entering the policies tab that way with the same result. I then disabled the Steam Overlay and reloaded the game and now it works so one or both of those things solved it for now.

I have seen the same thing and ended up in this thread to report it. I only see an x on the right bottom, on the top of the UI bar but no policy screen like in dev diary 8, even though population numbers have made the buttons show up. Will reload the game to see if I can now zone farms....

Reported this last evening, though I had zero crashes.

Glad to see that it can fix itself. I guess I might be able to go back to my save after all?
